Australia's favourite Top Ten dancers reunite in Sydney later this week to begin rehearsals for the So You Think You Can Dance Australia Live Tour 2008, presented by Optus.
Response to the tour has been fantastic with two Entertainment Centre shows scheduled in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and due to huge demand, an extension of the tour to include two brand new shows in Perth.
Internationally acclaimed Choreographer and Director William A Forsythe is the man facing the task of re-creating one of the year's biggest TV success stories on to the stage – and he promises something very special!
William's long list of credits include touring shows for Kylie Minogue, Australian Idol, Cliff Richard and It's A Long Way To The Top amongst many others; videos for Rogue Traders, Dannii Minogue and Rickie Lee; TV specials such as the TV WEEK Logie Awards and the ARIA's, and special events such as the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. This is a man who knows his stuff!!
William was also a consultant for the So You Think You Can Dance TV series, and so knows first-hand how incredibly talented the Top Ten dancers are.
"The live concerts are going to be spectacular! I'm really excited about what we have planned,” William says. "The show will feature the best and most popular routines from the TV series so everyone can relive their favourites. Plus we've choreographed some fantastic new numbers especially for the tour.
"Kelley Abbey has also created an amazing new routine for the Top Ten, which is going to be a real show-stopper. There's video footage that has never been seen before as part of the big screen presentation too, so it's going to be a red hot night!"
