William A Forsythe is one of Australia's most sought after directors/choreographers.
He has worked in theatre,
concerts, special events
and television, and has devised
routines for a host of Australian and international
artists including Kylie Minogue,
Sir Cliff Richard, Dannii Minogue, Nikki
Webster, Boy George,
Ricki Lee, Rogue Traders,
Thelma Houston, Tina Arena, Chaka Khan,
Marcia Hines, John Paul Young,
Christine Anu, Jimmy Barnes, Toni Pearon, Meatloaf and Kelly Clarkson.
William choreographed Sir Cliff Richard's World Tour Wanted which was released on DVD. During the same month he choreographed Australia's biggest Rock show, Long Way to the Top. He also choreographed the 2003 Logies Awards, and was Co- Director on Australian Idol Tour 2004 & 2005. William has been artistic director of the NRL Grand Final for 5 years staging such stars as Hugh Jackman, Caroline O’Connor, Meatloaf, Kelly Clarkson Jimmy Barnes & the HooDoo Gurus, and then was asked by Sir Cliff Richard’s to stage his Concert Series at the Royal Albert Hall & Edinburgh Castle
William choreographed two major segments of one of the most amazing spectacles
Sydney has seen … the Closing Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games
… broadcast to a worldwide audience of millions.
His theatre work includes The World Goes Round, The Phantom, Halloween
Trick or Treat 1 and the Official Tribute of the Blues Brothers.
His credits include the 2001 Goodwill
Games; The DVD launch of Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge; Nikki Webster’s
UK & European promotional tour as well as Nikki's videos Depend On
Me, Strawberry Kisses, Best Days, Something More Beautiful and Dancin' In The Street.
For the Rogue Traders William has worked on their videos Voodoo Child and Way to Go. Other major credits include choreography for Kylie Minogue's segment
of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony and Kylie’s Intimate
and Live world tour which received international acclaim.
The list continues with the launch of Fox
Studios in Australia starring Marcia Hines, Tina Arena, Hugh Jackman
and Kylie Minogue, the Centenary of Federation A Capital Celebration
in Canberra, the Mushroom's Concert of the Century at the MCG,
Dance Director for the NRL Grand Finals from 1999-2003, and the Tour
of Duty concert in Dili, East Timor starring Kylie Minogue and John
Farnham.
William choreographed and directed the opening extravaganza of the Cairns
Reef Hotel Casino with Dame Edna Everage and Judi Connelli. His credits
also include four major productions for Cairns Reef Hotel Casino, Firefly,
Firefly Magic (I & II), Madame Firefly and Mysterium, and dance
productions in Nightclub 1936.
